About this product...
- History
The OCTAX Laser Shot™,
introduced to the market in 10/1999, is the 2nd generation
infrared diode laser developed by Dr. Klaus Rink of OCTAX Microscience GmbH,
based on extensive experience with the first commercial 1,48 um infrared
diode laser (Fertilase), introduced to the market 1996/1997, director
research and development Dr. Klaus Rink, Physicist.
- Product information
Superior drilling precision and reproducibility < 1µm.
No realignment necessary due to highest optical and mechanical quality.
- Technical specifications
Adapts to all
major microscope brands used in ART today and tomorrow.
Excellent safety of operator (IEC 60825-10 Laser
class 1M) and specimen due to unparalleled superior
drilling efficiency. Elegant and compact
design (see the tech specs for a comprehensive
list of technical data).
- Scientific background
Fundamental articles and papers published from 1994 - 2002 (see enclosed
lists of original
articles and
puplished abstracts) by the group of EPFL and CHUV, Lausanne,
Switzerland (Klaus Rink, Guy Delacrétaz, René Salathé, Marc Germond, Alfred
Senn) and other authors
