Some trouble shooting information for typically used microscopes when used with the OCTAX Laser Shot™  in ART

Olympus

IX50

  • No laser interaction: For Laser Shot™ systems with turret: Shutter must be open (see symbol) and the turret in the indicated position
  • Horizontal misalignment of the monitor image: beam splitter switch between "only eyepiece" and "side port and eyepiece" must be locked in the correct position (the switch must not be in a position between the two settings)

IX70

  • Horizontal misalignment of the monitor image: beam splitter wheel (knob) between "only eyepiece" and "side port and eyepiece" must be in locked the correct position (the switch must not be in a position between the two settings), i.e. one of the two possible end positions of the wheel, on the right side of the microscope
  • Misalignment of the monitor image: while using the laser, the 1.5x magnifier below the objective revolver on the right side must be completely in in position (1x) and not in position (1.5x) or an intermediate position

IX51 and IX71

  • Horizontal misalignment of the monitor image: beam splitter switch between "only eyepiece" and "side port and eyepiece" must be locked in the correct position (the switch must not be in a position between the two settings)
  • (IX 71 only) Misalignment of the monitor image: while using the laser, the 1.5x magnifier below the objective revolver on the right side must be completely in in position (1x) and not in position (1.5x) or an intermediate position
